6:30 a.m. Pick-up from Airport or Hotel or Residence by our tour guide and depart for Castle Forest.
8:00 a.m – Stop over at Sagana. You can take this chance to buy snacks and any extra drinks you might on your safari.
8:30 a.m Take a short drive to Sagana Waterfalls at Jangwani Camp for a 2 hrs nature walk for a chance to see various bird species. Bird species you are likely to see include; African Jacana, Long-tailed Cormorant, African Openbill, Blacksmith Lapwing, Red-cheeked
Cordonbleu, Red-billed Firefinch, African Citril, Little Egret, Grey Heron, Pied Kingfisher,
Malachite Kingfisher, African Fish Eagle, Sandpipers, Plovers, Swallows, Swifts, Finches, Waxbills, Hawks
10:30 a.m. Leave Sagana for Castle Forest
12: 00 noon Arrive at Castle Forest lodge, check in, have lunch and relax. Castle Forest
Lodge, a serene hideaway on the slopes of Mount Kenya, has hosted famous people from Queen Elizabeth II (as Princes), King George VI and Kenya’s first President Jomo Kenyatta among others blending royal history with Kenya’s serene forests.
2: 30 p.m Take a bird watching nature walk to a nearby Karote Twin falls which is about 15 mins walk from the lodge. You will be exploring the Mount Kenya Forest Game Reserve for various bird species. Birds you are likely to see include; Golden Winged Sunbird, Slender Billed Starling, Moorland Chat, Cinnamon Bracken Warbler, Hunter’s Cisticola, Black-collared Apalis, Grey Apalis, African Hill Babbler, Waller’s Starling, Spectacled Weaver, Pin-tailed Whydah, Black-throated Apalis, Red-fronted Parrot, and Hartlaub’s Turaco among others
4- 5:00 p.m Return to the lodge when the temperatures start to drop. Check out views of the mighty Mount Kenya at sunset
7: 00 p.m Have dinner by the fireplace. Sleep at own time

7:00 a.m. Early morning breakfast in readiness for a morning hike.Â
8:00 a.m Morning birdwatching nature walk and moderate hike to Kamweti Waterfall which is about a 2 hrs (one way). Bird species you are likely to see include the Grey Cuckoo Shrike, Jackson’s Francolin, Augur Buzzard, Moorland Chat, Malachite Sunbird, Yellow Mountain Worbler, Eastern Bronze-naped Pigeon, Tambourine Dove, Olive Ibis, Tropical Boubou, Mountain Oriole, Silvery-cheeked Hornbill, Mountain Wagtail, Scaly Francolin, Abbott’s Starling, Greybacked Camaroptera, Olive Sunbird, and Purple-throated Cuckooshrike among others. You will also enjoy great views of Kamweti Falls and take great photos.
10:30 a.m Start hike back to lodge
12:30 p.m Return to lodge to relax and have lunch
2:00 p.m – 6 p.m. – Relax at the lodge or do horse riding or fly fishing. You can also do a light nature walk around the lodge with chances of seeing more bird species.
7: 00 p.m – Dinner at the fireplace with an optional campfire to see stars and listen to different calls of nocturnal bird species like the Montane Nightjar.

7:00 a.m. Morning breakfast at Castle Forest lodge with great views of Mount Kenya
8:00 a.m. Leave Castle Forest for Lake Nakuru via Nyeri with stop overs along the Laikipia plains for chances to see various grassland species which include Jackson’s Widowbird, Superb Starling, Sharpe’s Longclaw, Greater blue-eared starling, Mackinder's Eagle Owl, Fawn-breasted Lark, Redcapped Lark, Fischer’s Starling, Speckled Mousebird, Hunter’s Sunbird, Hildebrandt’s Starling, White-bellied Bustard, Secretarybird, Denham’s Bustard, Kori Bustard, Yellowthroated Sandgrouse, Lappet-faced Vulture, White-headed Vulture, Martial Eagle, Tawny Eagle, and Augur Buzzard among others.
 12:00 p.m. Stop over at a Tafaria Castle (a fairytale-like fortress hotel set on the Laikipia highlands) for lunch with views of Aberdare Ranges and chances of spotting more bird species.
1:00 p.m Leave Tafaria Castle for Thomson Falls (third highest waterfall in Kenya at 73 metres) with stop overs enroute for any interesting bird sightings
2:00 p.m Arrive at Thomson’s Falls and take a walk to the base of the falls (optional) for photo taking and possible bird sightings. Alternatively, enjoy the view of the falls from the viewing deck.
2:30 p.m Leave Thomson’s Falls for Lake Nakuru
4:30 p.m Arrive at the hotel inside Lake Nakuru National Park.
7 p.m. Check in to the Lodge and freshen up /relax
7:30 p.m Have Dinner at the hotel lounge and sleep at own time

6:00 a.m. Early morning breakfast in readiness for a morning game drive.Â
6:30 a.m Morning game drive in Lake Nakuru National Park when wildlife is more active. You have chances of seeing various bird species like lilac breasted roller, Rüppell’s starling, Grey heron, Black-winged Stilt, Yellow-billed Duck, African Jacana, Black Crake, Grey Heron, Blackheaded Heron, Little Eget, Augur Buzzard, Lilac-breasted Roller, White-browed Robin-chat, Red-cheeked Cordon-bleu, Arrow-marked Babbler, Greater Blue-eared Starling among others.
You are also likely to see buffaloes, rhinos, lions, zebras, giraffes, impalas, and leopards among others.
11 a.m Return to lodge to relax or swim
12:00 noon Lunch at the hotel lounge
3 p.m Evening game drive to see animals when they are more active again. The more animals. Oher birds you are likely to see include flamingoes, pelicans, lilac breasted roller, African spoonbill, Yellow-billed stork, African fish eagle, Lilac-breasted roller, Rüppell’s starling, Grey heron, Black-winged stilt, Augur buzzard, White-browed robin-chat among others.
5- 6 p.m Return to lodge to relax.
7 p.m – Dinner and sleep at own time.

6:00 a.m. Early morning breakfast in readiness for a morning game drive.Â
6:30 a.m Check out from hotel with packed lunch. Morning game drive in Lake Nakuru National Park when wildlife is more active. You also have chances of seeing more bird species like Black-winged Stilt, Yellow-billed Duck, Seagulls (migratory), African Jacana, Black Crake, Grey Heron, Black-headed Heron, Little Eget, Augur Buzzard, Lilac-breasted Roller, White-browed Robin-chat, Red-cheeked Cordon-bleu, Arrow-marked Babbler, Greater Blueeared Starling among others.
11:00 a.m. – Leave Lake Nakuru for Nairobi with stop overs in case of any bird sightings.
12:30 p.m. Stop over at Naivasha for packed lunch and a 1 hr boat ride on Lake Naivasha (optional and exclusive) which is a bird watching haven. The lake and surrounding ecosystem have more than 450 bird species which include waterbirds and migrants.
2:00 p.m Leave Naivasha for Nairobi with a stop over on the Great Rift Valley view point for wonderful views of the escarpment.
5:00 p.m Drop off in Nairobi hotel or airport with wonderful memories. End of your safari Meals: Breakfast & Lunch
