Expand allCollapse allDAY 1: NAIROBI – SIRIMON GATE 2650m – OLD MOSES CAMP 3300m
8:00 am Pick up from Nairobi Hotel, Accommodation or Airport and leave Nairobi to Sirimon Gate where you will start your hiking to Old Moses Camp. Trek from Sirimon Gate to Judimere campsite is a distance of 9km that takes about 3-4 hours of trekking, passing through the forest mainly composed of indigenous trees. Dinner and overnight stay night Moses Camp.
DAY2: OLD MOSES CAMP CAMPSITE – SHIPTONS CAMP 4200m
Wake up at 6:00am in the morning, pack your gear, and then have breakfast at 6:30am. Leave Old Moses Camp exactly at 7:00 am to Shiptons Campsite a distance of 14 km a journey that takes 6-7 hours. Shipton’s Camp is located at the base of the highest peaks namely Batian and Nelion. Dinner and overnight stay at Shiptons campsite.
DAY 3: ACCLIMATIZATION TO HAUSBERG VALLEY VIEW POINT (4200m) – (4500m)
After breakfast leave for a short sharp ascent to the view point of Hauberg Valley, we will spend few minutes enjoying the view then proceed down to Shipton’s camp for lunch, Dinner and overnight at Shiptons Camp.
DAY 4: SHIPTONS – LENANA PEAK SUMMIT 4985m – LAKE MICHLESON CAMP 3900m
Wake up very early in the morning exactly at 2:00am am to prepare your self and then take pre breakfast at 2:30 am. Leave Shiptons at 3:00 am to attempt the summit a journey that takes 4 hours to reach the summit. Point Lenana is the third highest peak in Mt Kenya and the only one that can be reached by trekking. On a clear sky day, you can see Mt Kilimanjaro on southern side and Indian Ocean shining as the sun is rising. After enjoying the summit, descend down to Simba Turn Camp for full breakfast. Proceed further down to Lake Michaelson where you will have lunch and relaxed time at the blissful deep blue lake.

DAY 5: LAKE MICHAELSON (3900M) – BANDAS (2950)
Wake up on a shining morning and have your breakfast at 7:30am after breakfast hike a sharp wall then proceed farther down to roadhead for lunch, after enjoying your lunch we will visit Nithi Falls and Nithi caves before we proceed farther down to Chogoria Bandas, Dinner and overnight at Bandas camp.
DAY 6: BANDAS (2650m) – CHOGORIA TOWN – NAIROBI
After an early breakfast drive through the dense Chogoria rain forest to Chogoria town where you will transferred to Nairobi or Airport or Hotel or to your next destination within that radius.
That marks the end of the Mount Kenya climbing expedition.
